no no no just NO

So after seeing the the sunday girls post about all the new products barry m are bring out I got extremely excited . One of the main products were the matte nail polishes but after having a look at the colours painted on nails they really aren't my cup a tea at first sight  . Even looking at the pictures make my teeth go all funny , I know weird right ? So I thought I would have a google search and above being one of the not so nice example and below a more professional go - Im still not a 100% sold however I will be having a try when barry m launch the range to give it a fair go .

My opinion may completely change once Iv applied my first coat but right now Im really not to excited.

These pictures do not belong to me and were found on a google search*

Seventeen flawless poreless primer

As I have a major pore problem I see myself buying any face primer that claims to reduce your pore size. I personally have never come across this kind of primer before, I don’t see many balm type primers all of the ones I currently own have a liquid consistency . It has a solid texture and the way that I apply it is with my fingertips, the fingers warm it up and it applies smoothly onto the skin. I found the texture of my skin once applied very soft and foundation just applied so smoothly across it. The primer is transparent and doesn't feel thick. It did reduce the size of my pores but it did not make them to disappear, it is better than some primers I have tried. It helped my foundation to last longer than what my usual primer does. I would highly recommend this product and it is also very affordable.

                                                          Seventeen flawless poreless primer £5.99

Heaven in a bottle

For the past couple months my hair has just been dry and overall just not really nice. So I tried all the lotions and potions and just gave up on the idea of having healthy hair till I could afford a professional to sort my birds nest out.

This was until I went shopping with my little mum who brought some new clip in hair extensions and was told that to keep them from drying out you need to spray a Aussie leave in conditioner on them. So that night when I got out the shower and noticed I run out of my normal heat protector , I thought what the hell and I reach over  for my Aussie leave in conditioner which I haven't touched since before the start of the year. I then just plaited my hair and went to bed ( I know going to bed with damp hair isn't the best but I was being lazy) I didn't really think much of it at all but when I woke up and took out the plaits to find that the difference was crazy good.

The majority of my hair was soft and glossy, the ends were a lot better but still a little dry but so much better than before. From now on there's no looking back Aussie leave in spray all the way - not only does it work but its smells out of this world amazing and only £4.49 !!! Heaven in a bottle some might even say

Has anyone tried any different types of the aussie leave in spray ?

Stay matte!

I was so happy to see the Rimmel stay matte foundation in a local boots the main reason why is because it is a matte foundation and I have such oily skin I am always looking for a matte foundation because I really hate having a shiny face. This is a mouse like formula which just glides smoothly onto the face, I personally have the best results when I use a beauty blender. As soon as it was on my face I did fall in love with it and I can see myself repurchasing this over and over again. It gave of a flawless finish, it also covered up little blemishes and gave me a even consistent colour. Its has a light weigh feel with medium to full coverage it lasted all day. Have to say this is one of the best foundations I have found in a while.

- AT LAST -

A couple months back I got a free sample of the L'oreal EverRiche conditioner in my cosmo mag and I feel in love after using it. It made my hair super soft and airy . So I then went to boots the next day but it weren't on sale, after that I tried alot of shops and it weren't till now that I finally got my hands on it.  So I just got super duper excited and purchased a couple extra items from the range.

EverSleek Shampoo - £5.99
EverSleek Conditoner - £5.99
EverRiche perfect elixir - £6.99
EverSleek Absolute smooth intense mask - £6.99
(Its also 3 for 2 in boots so if you want to try them out nows the time !)

They had the whole collection for sale for all different types of hair , so I went for one most suited to my hair type which was the Eversleek for frizzy , overworked hair plus the EverRiche perfect elixir. Overall Im so excited about using them all but mostly the  EverRiche perfect elixir as its a spray that you put on after your shampoo and conditioner and wash out after (minimal effort - thats what I like ), Iv heard nothing but good things about this product so fingers crossed it does what it says on the bottle.

I will be posting a short review on these after using them for a couples weeks so do pop back.

Any one else tried any products from this new range ?

On a mission

Birthday presents on a budget

It's my little mums birthday tomorrow and well not being on the wealthy side of life, I was on a mission . I had £30 in my pocket and had a plan to find 1) stuff my mother would use and 2) get as much as I can for my pennies.

My mum really isn't the easiest person to buy for she has everything she needs and well what is there to get for the women who has everything they already wants. Finally it came to me after many a hour thinking , MAKEUP ! She don't really wear alot as she's already beautiful ,still on the young mum side of life and always busy. So I got to thinking of all the product I could that worked well and required minimal effort. It was also buy one get one half price in boots so I got lots for my money and I also had no7 vouchers to use.

I used a old glossybox to save a bit of money on wrapping paper. Its like my own Homemade Glossybox

 Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Mascara
Rimmel London Stay Blushed! - I must say this is such a good product
No7 nail polish
Rimmel stay matte powder
Bourjois healthy mix foundation
Maybelline Instant age rewind
Revlon lash potion

Soap and glory - hand maid ( come in the 3 for 2 offer on mini bottles)
mini simple moisturiser
mini toni and guy dry shampoo
Aussie 3 minute miracle conditioner (got this with my boots points )

Something a little extra

My little sister then joined in and we managed to get her some of her favourite products -

So Iv never realised that boots even do makeup bags mainly because I spend most my time in the makeup counters but when I saw this I got a little excited and thought it was so lovely and was only £10 so we had to get it .

The Iwhite teeth brighter which she loves ( Im not to keen I have a really small mouth and they don't fit in and it weren't a great experience ) and she uses them all the time. I got these on p a romo for just £19.99 instead £30 which was a steal . We also got her the insolence perfume which I have mentioned before , that really weren't much as a steal to be fair I think we got robbed it cost us £40.50 in boots but I usually pay around £20 in a perfume shop but we left it to late to complain .

What are you favourite high street products ?

Holographic nails

The colour club

External beauty on left and cloud nine on right

One of my major loves is holographic nails, unfortunately I only own two of the polishes for now! Searching through various blogs I came across theses amazing holographic nail polishes known as the halo hues from the colour club. The two that I own are clod nine (2012 collection) and external beauty (2013 collection). There is not a bad word that I can say about these polishes apart from the availability the only placed have been able to find them is eBay and amazon.
The formula itself is thick which is the way I like my polish, with these you can put on one coat and up are ready to go. I would not advise to use a topcoat since it tone down the effect. I usually get around 5 days wear out of these polishes. Topshop are currently selling their own holographic nail shades.

What are your favourite shades at the moment ?

haul

Poped into boots the other day and left with most of the newly realsed seventeen collection and a few lip products, the seventeen collection was made up of all face products, concelears were a main part of it.
I brought four concealers a primer and also a powder
My first thought of them was the colour range was not amazing for each of the products there was only around three colours the items which I reach for the most are the phwoarr paint this concealer is made for under your eyes it actually looked amazing I used it to highlight and I loved it, the finish its left is what I want in my under eye concealer and also the miracle matte powder I am also loving as I do have oily skin I like to have a powder to take the oil away and this was lovely to touch up with took away all of the oil.

I also ended up purchasing these two lip products the Maybeline 24 colour products I have to say are one of my favourite products they do last a long long time and I always find myself picking up new colours every now and then, I also got one of the new Loreal lipsticks I got mine on the shade Julianne, I am loving the colour of this lipstick it is the perfect my lips but better and it also warms my skin up unlike other nudes which I own that wash me out, which this product defiantly does not do. I do wish that they would have a longer wearing formula.

A little bit of a overstatement !!!

Maybelline - super stay 24 hour

I'm always on the look out for things that last long and work really well and after coming across this in my local boots I thought I would give it ago after finishing my MAC Mineralize skin finish powder. Well the day final come last week when I hit pan on my mac powder so all week iv been using the Maybelline - super stay 24 hour .

So when I first put this on I loved it ! It felt nice on my skin, gave me good coverage and didn't dry my skin out but 24 hours stay it did not. The powder last me till I got home in the evenings so around 10 hours of coverage . Fair enough with any other powder lasting that long I would be happy but stating on the packaging 24 hour was a little bit of a overstatement for me . Overall I would say this is a great powder and one I will probably re-purchase again along side my mac powder.  It may last longer on some people but for me it weren't the 24 hours :( anyone else used this powder ?

whats your fav powder at the moment ? Im always on the look to try new things .

Nars!!!!!

Nars

Nail duo in vertebra
I was so happy with the results of these polishes i just had to share them with you. A couple of weeks ageo I was scrolling through asos and saw that Nars was having a sale, well it would of been rude no to look. I ended up purchasing the Nars nail polish duo in vertebra, this nail polish was created with Nars by Pierre hardy. The packaging of the nail polish was so cute it came in a mini shoe box and also with a mini Nars dustbag the duo does not have separate names for each of he colours there just called left and right and this is really the only fault that I could find with this product.
The colours are described as a dusty rose and a coral both of these polishes applied beautifully, there was no streaking or bubbling, from the first swipe I cold tell that it was a formal that I would like I generally like formulas that are quite thick and it really did live up to that, it just applied so glossy and smooth both of the colours lasted on my nails for a week and I have to say that I have now fallen in love with Nars and will be purchasing more of their nail products in future.

Has anyone used nars nail vanishes before ?

CANDY YUM YUM DUPE ! Beyond the lips

Hi Nicole here, on my part of the Blog I will basing it on make-up reviews and also  bringing you dupes of my favourite high-end products. I thought as this is my first post, I would bring you my favourite dupes.

For months now I have watched various YouTube videos were I have been told that candy yum yum could not be duped. I believe that I have found a dupe for it and the lipstick , Rock Candy by Look Beauty. Candy yum yum is a little darker in the tube but when both are on the lips they look like a perfect match. Mac's version is better as its opaque with one swipe whereas the look beauty version was opaque in about four swipes. The mac is also longer wearing ! I got a good five hours out of it, if you don't want to spend the money on the mac version look beauty is just as good but for me its Candy Yum Yum all the way

( These photos were taking outdoors hours apart thats why there is a change in brightness to the images )

What are your favourite dupes for mac lipsticks ?
